Med City FC, Rochester’s National Premier Soccer League team, will be holding tryouts for its 2021 season on Saturday, March 13 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Rochester Community & Technical College. The team will be participating for the fourth season in the top national amateur league in the United States.
This season, the Mayhem will also be participating in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup for the first time ever. The team earned a spot in the first round thanks to an outstanding 2019 NPSL season that saw the team lose just one regular-season conference game on the way to an 8-1-3 conference season.
“With the additional challenges of Covid-19, we’re anticipating using more area talent than ever before,” Spaeth says. “In the past, we’ve taken several players from the tryouts so it’s definitely a great opportunity for players to show us what they can do and try to earn a spot on the team.”
Registration for the Med City FC tryouts is open now. Cost for the tryouts is $45. Registration can be done on the team’s registration website using the button below.
In addition, players participating in the tryout will need to complete a few forms that will be sent to them before the tryouts via email. Participants will also be expected to comply with all state and facility guidelines related to Covid-19. As tryouts get closer, clarification will be sent out as to what those expectations are.
